🧠 Tips

Onions are daylight-sensitive: grow short-day types in Oklahoma

Don’t bury bulbs too deep — just enough to anchor

Stop watering when tops fall over naturally

Cure harvested bulbs in a dry, shady spot for 2–3 weeks

Use thinnings as green onions early in the season
